Meet the Team

Rory Ray Hoffner

Rory Ray Hoffner has been a boxing trainer for over five years. Along with boxing, Rory has been involved with sports throughout his entire life. He competed in football, basketball, and track during his younger years, and also got the opportunity to compete in track at the collegiate level. He was heavily recruited for football at the collegiate level as well, until he broke his arm, which put his football dreams to a halt. Injury also plagued his boxing career, which he started in his twenties. Rory fought at the amateur level for 2-3 years until a shoulder injury took him out of the ring.

Fortunately, Rory was able to continue staying immersed in his passion, through becoming a personal trainer. Rory is a certified personal trainer with the International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA), with continuing education credits in plyometrics and core training. He is also certified in APEX training systems. He is a licensed USA boxing coach, and most recently one of his fighters got a TKO 20 seconds into the second round of his fight. Rory is now dedicated to making sure his clients avoid injuries by having proper form and technique.

Rory has worked with everyone from novice level athletes to the elite level college and professional athletes. Even when he is not in the gym, he is still dedicated to seeing improvement and success in people with whom he works. For the past five years, he has been running outdoor boot camps for the public that focus on cross training and conditioning. He is a highly motivated trainer, and excited to see people get the results they are looking for!

Kelly turned to coaching in 1998. He's trained boxing champions, including Eric Harding, Vassily Jirov, Kelvin Davis, Steve Forbes, Jackson Bussell, and Mixed Martial Arts champions, Richard Hale, Ken Shamrock and Vernon (Tiger) White. Away from the gym, David is working towards his childhood dream... Becoming a firefighter. He's currently going to school for Fire Science and hopes to serve on one of the Valley's fire departments in the future. He is also proud to say that he is a National Certified EMT.

David is dedicated towards helping his clients move and fell better by keeping them motivated and improving their physical training, endurance and skill.

Jacqui Bergmann - Founder

A few years ago, I was at a crossroads in my life. I was newly divorced, depressed, overweight and smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. I was frustrated, and felt angry and powerless. I knew I had lost an important part of myself that I desperately wanted back, but I had no idea where to find it. One day as I watched my son taking boxing lessons at a local gym, I suddenly thought to myself, "I want to do that!" I always loved watching the sport, but never considered trying it. I signed up for my first lesson and from that moment on, I took back control of my body, my life and my health. I have never looked back.

The day I started boxing was the day I stopped smoking. I replaced one addiction with another and in that process I lost 35 pounds. I had a place to release my tension and feel powerful. My negative thought patterns faded away and I felt a sense of accomplishment and confidence I had never known before. Boxing transformed me into the person I truly wanted to be!

I spent years working with boxing's best to develop a program that is effective, cost efficient and fun. My trainers have decades of experience. They are dedicated to the sport and will dedicate their time to you. We will teach you the boxing "secrets" that will transform your life, as it has mine! Give it a try... What have you got to lose except excess weight, stress and low self-confidence?
